Not many patients are aware of the fact that there is a method of emergency contraception which is far more effective than the morning after pill. This method consists in inserting a coil in the uterus. The coil is a copper coil which does not contain hormones and once inserted can be kept long term as your method of contraception.

This method has the advantage of non containing any hormones and therefore is suitable for patients who had side effects from hormonal treatments in the past.

It also has the advantage of not having the 72 h restriction time that the morning pill has and can be inserted up to five days from your “accident”.

If you had unprotected sex and you are worried about getting pregnant talk to any of our experts today.
