Abortion Services

Abortion provision and care is free in our clinic if you live in the Republic of Ireland and have a valid PPS number (bring proof with you). If you do not have a valid PPS number the service is still available but there is charge.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The first step is to ring us to book an appointment. You generally will be seen within a week. At you first appointment, you will bring your PPSN with you,  we will take your medical history and do an ultrasound. We have this facilitiy in the clinic at the same time of your appointment and you don’t need to be referred anywhere else.

the ultrasound has two purposes:

-ensure that your dates are correct and that you are suitable for a medical termination

-ensure that you do not have any other complications like an ectopic pregnancy (a pregnancy located outside the womb).

If you are less than 9 weeks pregnant, you can have an early medical abortion in our clinic. (abortion pill)

If you are between 9 and 12 weeks pregnant  we can refer you to have a medical or surgical abortion in a hospital.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT?

You will be required to return 3 days later. This is a legislation requirement. At your second visit you will receive the abortion pill and we will give all the instructions you need.

We also offer free pregnancy testing as a walk in service.
