Donor insemination or “artificial insemination”, is the process of conceiving a baby using donated sperm. It is a simple, usually painless procedure where the frozen/thawed sperm is introduced into the uterus with a syringe at the time of ovulation.
It is evident that the decision of Donor Insemination is a difficult one to make. There are so many factors to keep in mind and building a family with the assistance of sperm donation can be quite daunting.
Egg donation treatment is required when ovarian reserve is depleted. If you had this diagnosis you have probably been referred abroad as availability of egg donors is scarce in Ireland.
